Resolution making makes no sense

Resolution is something that is the outcome of  decision making. Many of us are addicted to making a resolution every once in a while- be it new year resolution or the outcome of getting high.. I've decided not to have any new year resolution this new year " a  no resolution is still better than a resolution not kept". Still my wish list contains a long list, some of them are-
  1.  A fit abdomen(abs) : Aim for the sky and you would reach at least somewhere above the ground. I'll tell you a secret, maybe by the end of this year, i would love to see those a six-pack abs or at least a two-pack abs every time i do a la Salman Khan...ahems( i think you get it). There is this funny thing about your abs muscles, they are so stubborn that they wouldn't budge or at least i keep on having this funny feeling that they are pushing to come out more!! Not to mention that I've been playing high-intensity badminton almost everyday for the past two years but still....                                Am still gonna keep on fighting this lone battle grrrr...
  2. Shed a few pounds : Name one person in your office/family/circle of friends who is not overweight? (this is a difficult one, can we move on to the next question!!)       This is a cause of concern for almost everyone in this generation, maybe it has something to do with our lifestyle and this fast-paced life doesn't help where we have time for everything else other than ourselves. Few years back,a pot-belly is for someone who are in the age group of at least over 35s or 40s, someone who is settled and having two or more kids.                                                                         Coming back to this generation, it wouldn't be surprising to find somebody in his/her 20s but already sporting a pot-belly, terrifying indeed!! On a personal level, it  would be great to shed around 2-3 kgs (realistic enough) by the end of April this year, still more than 80 days to go, am working on it, it doesn't help that i am a rice eater, rice and more rice... Eat enough and burn those calories - that's my mantra.
  3. Read more : Somewhere down the line, I've lost that connection with my one pastime -reading books, my daily reading is restricted to reading on-line articles and newspapers. Reading good books enrich our knowledge, and complements whatever knowledge we already have. With TataSky and internet on the other side, it's a continual struggle to find the time to read after office hours. This definitely has to be revived again, maybe finish one book in two weeks or a month. You know, that thrill and suspense you get when you read novels is no way comparable to the one you get when you watch movies, same with reading an inspiring biography. You have that sense of being enlightened to a certain degree when you finish a good book. A long lost habit which the present generation of youngsters give a damn.
the wish list goes on....
